UM Wins Award for Predicate Towards Informative
Jakarta - State University of Malang (UM) won the Public Information Openness Award (KIP) with the qualification of “Towards Informative” Public Bodies from the Central Information Commission (KI Pusat), Thursday morning (21/11), at Building II of the Palace of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The award was based on the results of the KIP Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity from September to November 2019. This predicate was the second time that UM has won, after 2018 it also received the title towards informative.

Based on the Monev activity report submitted by the Chairperson of the Central KI, Gede Narayana, there are 355 Public Bodies throughout Indonesia participating in the 2019 KIP Monev activities, but still more than half of them are still in the category of "Less Informative" Public Bodies, while the rest get the "Quite Informative" category. , "Towards Informative", and "Informative".

Meanwhile UM Deputy Rector II, Prof. Dr. Heri Suwignyo, M.Pd, who was present representing the UM Rector, agreed with the results achieved by PPID UM.
"We are grateful for the results achieved by UM. Of the contestants who participated in Monev KIP, UM was in the category towards being informative with 4 other universities. This result is the hard work of all parties, especially the UM PPID Team. Of course there are still evaluations that need to be improved, and we will prepare this for the coming year, "he explained.

"The results also serve as benchmarks, if last year and this year we were still in the category towards being informative, of course next year we should become an informative public body.
